At our Altoona branch, the Helpdesk Administrator and Lead Helpdesk Administrator roles are pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. These professionals are tasked with setting up and maintaining basic network operations, including the assembly of network hardware, to support the rest of the IT team and all employees at IES. They provide crucial first and second level telephone support, resolving any technical issues that arise, while also installing and testing necessary software and hardware. Our supported hardware encompasses a wide range, from Dell and Cisco servers to Lenovo laptops, HP printers, and various copiers, ensuring a diverse technological environment. Additionally, they play a key role in upgrading and configuring network printing, directory structures, security rights, and monitoring system backups, always adhering to strict privacy policies. The Lead Helpdesk Administrator goes a step further by leading and supervising other helpdesk administrators, ensuring that every task is performed efficiently and effectively. Both positions require occasional travel to support remote sites and the ability to provide after-hours remote support as needed, reflecting our commitment to maintaining optimal operational standards across all facets of our IT infrastructure here in Altoona.
