What duties do our Virtual Design and Construction employees do at our IES Communications' Montgomery Branch?
Our branch in Montgomery is currently seeking a Director of Virtual Design and Construction who will be responsible for developing processes, infrastructure, and teams to manage the use of Virtual Design & Construction models for construction projects. They will also oversee the coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) instructions and facilitate regular BIM coordination. Additionally, we are looking for a Virtual Design and Construction Field Detailer who will interface with field construction personnel to coordinate installations using Navisworks and create red-lined/as-built drawings. They will also audit installations to ensure accuracy and maintain accurate records. Furthermore, we are seeking a Virtual Design and Construction Manager who will recruit, train, and manage direct reports, as well as develop VDC standards and best practices. They will also manage VDC projects, conduct quality checks, and troubleshoot technology issues. Lastly, we are looking for a Virtual Design and Construction Project Coordinator who will cooperate and communicate effectively with management and team members, schedule and monitor updates, and coordinate with leads and superintendents to create and maintain project schedules. They will also review drawings for quality assurance and assist in project closeout.
