What will you do as a Staff Accountant at our IES Communications' Dulles Branch?
As our employees in Dulles, the Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies, meeting financial reporting deadlines, preparing journal entries and reconciling fixed assets and general ledger accounts, establishing inventory and accounting control procedures, resolving accounting discrepancies, researching tax department inquiries, interfacing with auditors, managing workload distribution, and ensuring accurate expense recording and analysis. The Staff Accountant will process and post journal entries, assist with month-end close and financial reporting, maintain balance sheet reconciliations, prepare management reports, assist with audits, facilitate intercompany transactions, reconcile financial discrepancies, perform ad hoc analysis, prepare job cost transfers, maintain accrual records and amortization schedules, manage fixed assets and depreciation entries, support team members, and handle assigned responsibilities.
