At our Nevada branches, we're on the lookout for dedicated professionals to join our finance team in two pivotal roles: Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Payable Specialist. Our Accounts Payable Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our accounts payable processing staff, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency within the department. This position involves close collaboration with Human Resources to recruit, train, and manage the AP/purchasing staff effectively, addressing any HR-related issues according to company policies. As the primary point of contact for A/P and purchasing issues within IES local business units, this role demands a proactive approach to identifying process improvements, troubleshooting invoice processing challenges, and managing both the day-to-day purchasing activities and overall accounts payable functions to meet high performance standards.

On the other hand, our Accounts Payable Specialists are the backbone of our financial operations, responsible for the meticulous handling of vendor invoices and related documentation. This includes reviewing invoices for proper documentation and approval, responding promptly to vendor inquiries, reconciling statements, and ensuring purchases are authorized and discrepancies resolved efficiently. Additionally, they play a vital role in the weekly check runs, maintaining the vendor master file, assisting with month-end closings, and ensuring compliance with sales/use tax laws. Both positions require a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting practices, and a commitment to upholding the integrity of our financial processes here in Nevada.
