What duties do our Payroll employees do at our IES Communications' Birmingham Branch?

As a Payroll Compliance Analyst and Auditor in our Birmingham branch, your duties will include reviewing time and attendance reports daily to identify errors and exceptions, reviewing lunch/break penalty hours, ensuring proper project coding and labor hour allocation, partnering with managers to correct errors, promoting adherence to Time and Attendance policies, maintaining progress reports and providing recurring reporting to Company Leadership, and collaborating with multiple departments and team members to ensure program success. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will involve processing data entry for multi-state payroll for over 2500 employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws, handling employee and business partner queries, analyzing and processing off-cycle pay and adjustments, calculating and maintaining manual garnishments, compiling and distributing Certified Payroll reporting, assisting with monthly journal entries and month-end analysis, and fulfilling other assigned tasks.
