What will you do as a Service Technician at our IES Communications' Bluffdale Branch?
The Lead Service Technician and Services Technician at our branch in Bluffdale are responsible for various duties. They both install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and walls, terminating CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks and correctly mounting face plates and surface mount boxes. They also build closets, including mounting backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic, and hardware, as well as installing grounding for racks, equipment, and cables. Additionally, they complete all IDC connections, perform testing on horizontal and riser cables, troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling, and identify active voice or data circuits. Both technicians ensure accurate and timely completion of all IES COMMERCIAL paperwork and adhere to safety and quality standards. They also fulfill any other assigned responsibilities.
