What will you do as a Project Cost Analyst at our IES Communications' Aurora Branch?
Our branch in Aurora offers various job opportunities in project cost analysis and management. The Project Cost Analyst (PCA) is responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and maintaining project profitability to achieve company goals. They work closely with project accounting to ensure accurate cost posting and manage all project cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. The PCA also participates in cost review meetings, prepares budget and financial forecasts, and researches technical accounting issues for compliance. Additionally, the PCA collaborates with project personnel to prepare required project reporting and implements process improvements. The Project Cost Analyst Manager oversees the PCA team, recruits and trains staff, and manages human resource issues. They have similar responsibilities to the PCA but also provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and company goals. The Project Cost Supervisor (PCS) supervises 1-2 PCAs, assists in creating a standard Job Audit review process, and attends Holland review meetings. They also assist in training new PCAs, implement underbilling reduction strategies, review job audits for accuracy, and ensure compliance with job cost, billing, and change orders. The PCS collaborates with project personnel, handles financial reporting, and implements account process improvements.
