What will you do as a Purchasing Specialist at our IES Communications' Tucson Branch?
Our branch in Tucson is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist who will be responsible for entering purchasing information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. This role also involves ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites, as well as researching and resolving Invoice/PO discrepancies, coordinating returns and credit memos, and assisting with processing vendor returns. The Purchasing Specialist will prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations for substitute items, and obtaining approval from the appropriate manager. They will also enter inventory, material, and labor transfers into the accounting system, self-manage their workload distribution, and create and implement project process improvements. Additionally, this role will serve as a back-up for the front desk and handle other assigned responsibilities.
