What will you do as a Staff Accountant at our IES Communications' Mesa Branch?
At our branch in Mesa, the Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies, maintaining financial records, meeting reporting deadlines, and preparing journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets and general ledger accounts. They establish inventory processes and accounting controls for fixed assets, resolve accounting discrepancies, research tax department inquiries, and interface with auditors. The Senior Staff Accountant also manages their workload, records and analyzes expenses, establishes lease agreement processes, and updates financial reporting. On the other hand, the Staff Accountant processes journal entries, assists with month-end close and financial reporting, maintains balance sheet reconciliations, prepares management reports, and supports audits. They also handle intercompany transactions, reconcile financial discrepancies, perform ad hoc analysis, maintain accrual and amortization records, and support team members.
