What will you do as a Safety Trainer at our IES Communications' Chesapeake Branch?
At our branch in Chesapeake, we have Safety Trainers who fully support all IES safety policies, procedures, programs, and federal and state standards. They are responsible for providing trade-related safety training in the classroom, including hands-on demonstrations, presentations, tests, and design exercises. They also identify training programs to address competency gaps, track and report on training outcomes, and deliver safety training for management and field personnel. Additionally, they conduct safety audits, investigations, and root cause analysis, and prepare written reports and summaries. The Safety Trainers ensure a safe learning environment and work with the training team to design and implement new programs. They also teach, counsel, and mentor stakeholders to uphold the IES Safety Culture. The Safety Coordinators have similar responsibilities but also coordinate the safety program, review applications, develop safety action plans, and conduct jobsite safety audits. They work closely with operations and management to ensure compliance with safety standards and reduce hazards and incidents.
