Their work spans a broad range of responsibilities, from designing low voltage systems and supporting infrastructure to installation, testing, and certification processes. They meticulously coordinate and integrate low voltage systems by reviewing documentation across various IES disciplines, such as door hardware schedules for access control systems integration. Furthermore, they are instrumental in developing design templates, standards, and guidelines that enhance our department's accuracy and efficiency. Our engineers also take charge of creating, reviewing, and evaluating product and shop drawings during the pre-construction phase, ensuring all products meet customer requirements and performance standards. By sourcing bids and assessing initial pricing from third-party suppliers, including subcontractors, they ensure competitive and effective solutions. Providing technical expertise and support to both IES staff and field technicians is another critical aspect of their role, alongside conducting site reviews and interacting closely with Project Managers and field supervisors to guarantee high-quality installations. Through collaboration with subject matter experts within IES, partners, suppliers, and manufacturers, they maintain a cutting-edge local knowledge base, best practices, and methods to back our installation and commissioning teams.
