What will you do as an Estimator at one of IES Communications' New Mexico Branches?

At our New Mexico branches, our estimators and project cost estimator interns play crucial roles in ensuring the precision and efficiency of our projects from conception to completion. They meticulously provide complete project engineering, select appropriate materials, estimate labor costs, and develop comprehensive cost estimates in response to bid specifications. Acting as vital liaisons among sales, project management, and operations teams, they attend site walks and pre-bid meetings, monitor alignment between sales prices and actual installation costs, and work closely with vendors to secure the best solutions at competitive prices within optimal lead times. Our team members are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety, meeting stringent bid schedules and deadlines, and fostering continuous improvement through training and review sessions, all while maintaining effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure every project detail is accurately estimated and expectations are fully met.

Our lead estimators further elevate our project planning and execution by managing and mentoring their teams, developing processes for continuous improvement within the design and estimating department, and holding team members accountable for deliverables and financial performance. They provide expert leadership, technical support, and foster a collaborative environment that encourages adaptation and growth among team members of various experience levels.
