At our branch in Davenport, we have a team of Project Cost Analysts (PCA) who play a crucial role in planning, managing, and monitoring project profitability to achieve our company goals. They work closely with project accounting to ensure costs are accurately posted to the ledger and manage all project cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. PCAs participate in cost review meetings, prepare budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. They also research technical accounting issues for compliance, support month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with project personnel to prepare required project reporting. Additionally, we have a Project Cost Analyst Manager who oversees the PCAs and is responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and mentoring the team. The Project Cost Analyst Manager also handles human resource issues, completes performance evaluations, and ensures project profitability. Furthermore, we have a Project Cost Supervisor who supervises a team of PCAs, assists in creating and revising job audit processes, attends review meetings, and implements strategies to reduce underbilling. The PCS also works closely with project accounting, reviews job audits, coordinates budget and financial forecasts, ensures compliance with job cost, billing, and change orders, and collaborates with project personnel for reporting. The PCS is responsible for quality control over financial transactions and reporting, as well as implementing account process improvements.
