What will you do as a Service Technician at our IES Communications' Cedar Rapids Branch?
As employees of our Cedar Rapids branch, the Lead Service Technician and Services Technician are responsible for installing work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and wall, terminating CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks, and mounting face plates and surface mount boxes correctly while adhering to IES COMMERCIAL labeling standards. They also build closets, install grounding for racks and equipment, and complete all IDC connections. Additionally, they perform testing, troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling, and identify active voice or data circuits. Both technicians complete all IES COMMUNICATIONS paperwork accurately and on time and adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and regulations. They also complete other assigned responsibilities.
