The Purchasing Specialist job in our San Jose branch involves entering purchasing information into the accounting system while ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. They are responsible for ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites, as well as researching and resolving Invoice/PO discrepancies and coordinating returns and credit memos. Additionally, they assist with processing vendor returns by adjusting purchase orders as necessary and enter inventory, material, and labor transfers into the accounting system. This role also includes self-managing assigned workload distribution, implementing project process improvements, and serving as a backup for the front desk.
