What will you do as a Project Cost Analyst at our IES Communications' San Diego Branch?
As the Project Cost Analyst in San Diego, you will be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and maintaining project profitability to achieve Company goals. You will work with project accounting to ensure costs are posted to the ledger correctly and manage all project cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Additionally, you will participate in cost review meetings with the project team, coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances, as well as research any technical accounting issues for compliance. As the Project Cost Analyst Manager, you will recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge staff, manage all human resource issues, and provide guidance and mentoring to meet all customer and Company goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and maintaining project profitability, working with project accounting, and coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. Lastly, as the Project Cost Supervisor, you will supervise 1-2 Project Cost Analysts, assist with creating and revising a standard Job Audit review process at each Branch, and attend and lead Holland review meetings. You will also assist with training the new PCA position, implement underbilling reduction strategies, and work with the team on month-end closing.
