What will you do as a Safety Trainer at our IES Communications' Peoria Branch?
Our branch in Peoria employs Safety Trainers who fully support all IES safety policies, procedures, programs, and federal and state standards. They are responsible for providing trade-related safety training in the classroom, including hands-on demonstrations, presentations, and tests. They also identify training programs to address competency gaps and track and report on training outcomes. Additionally, our branch has Safety Trainers who also serve as Program Coordinators. In addition to their training responsibilities, they conduct activities to identify potential hazards, develop safety action plans, and coordinate the safety program. They also review applications and documents related to the program and prepare written reports and summaries. Both Safety Trainers and Program Coordinators teach, counsel, and mentor stakeholders to uphold the IES Safety Culture and work with the training team to design and implement new programs.
