The Senior Database Administrator in Huntsville works directly with end users to translate business requirements into functional applications and designs and maintains SQL database systems. They collaborate with developers to maintain a stable and high availability system and ensure database design meets customer and company needs. Acting as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s), they create, develop, and implement process improvements and maintain backups and high availability of systems. Additionally, they provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users, determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards, and perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. They also monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required, as well as provide Audit support when required and handle other responsibilities as assigned.
