What will you do as a Purchasing Specialist at our IES Communications' Huntsville Branch?
Our branch in Huntsville is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist who will be responsible for various tasks related to purchasing and accounting. This includes entering purchasing information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. The specialist will also be responsible for ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites, as well as researching and resolving invoice and purchase order discrepancies. They will coordinate returns and credit memos, and assist with processing vendor returns by adjusting purchase orders as required. Additionally, the specialist will prepare purchase orders, enter inventory and material transfers into the accounting system, and self-manage their assigned workload distribution. They will also be involved in project process improvement and serve as a backup for the front desk. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
