AIDS/LifeCycle 2018

On June 3rd, four IES Communications employees embarked on a five-day bike fundraiser called AIDS/LifeCycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The riders are Gilbert Romo, Tyler Larkey, Brad Sandman, and Russell Olmstead.

AIDS/LifeCycle is co-produced by the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Both organizations aim to reduce new HIV infections, improve quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS, and bring light to the fact that HIV/AIDS is still a devastating disease in our society, particularly for the LGBT community and communities of color.

Each team is responsible for raising funds that all go to helping the advancement of AIDS awareness and helping those living with AIDS. The team has been fundraising and training for this 548-mile ride for months. Now all of their hard work is paying off.

Gilbert and the team have raised over $40,000 for this event, making it another very successful ride … before they ever hit the road. Gilbert is the 5th highest fundraiser for this year with over $46,000!

You can follow each rider on their journey via their social media channels, or you can follow the marathon via AIDS/LifeCycle social media (https://www.aidslifecycle.org/)
