What duties do our Sales employees do at our IES Communications' Cleveland Branch?
Our branch in Cleveland is currently seeking a Sales Tax Compliance Specialist who will provide support to internal customers for tax-related issues. This individual will review tax certificates and/or tax packages for accuracy and completeness, conduct tax research, and interpret and apply tax rules. They will also work with Contract Admin to ensure sales tax application of job packages is accurate and compliant with policy. Acting as a liaison between the tax department and external vendors, the Sales Tax Compliance Specialist will stay updated on changes in tax legislation and identify opportunities for strategic audits and refunds. Additionally, they will handle specific tax questions from Operations and Sales, document and update internal procedures for compliance activities, and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce tax exposure. The role will also involve participating in sales and business licenses tax compliance segment for new systems migrations.
