What will you do as a Safety Trainer at our IES Communications' Austin Branch?
As employees of IES in Austin, our Safety Trainers fully support all safety policies, procedures, programs, and federal and state standards. They are responsible for maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, ensuring compliance with IES safety policies, procedures, and programs. They assist in the development and delivery of trade-related safety training, including hands-on demonstrations, presentations, and tests. They identify training programs to address competency gaps and track and report training outcomes. Additionally, they conduct training classes using computer and virtual classrooms, administer exams, and evaluate trainees' performance. They also coordinate and deliver safety training for management and field personnel, prepare reports on safety audits and investigations, and maintain safety-related records. Furthermore, they work with the training team to design and implement new training programs and support the Safety Department as needed. The Safety Trainer and Program Coordinator role encompasses all the responsibilities of a Safety Trainer, with additional duties such as coordinating the safety program, developing safety action plans, and reviewing applications for program acceptance. The Safety Coordinator role includes all the responsibilities of a Safety Trainer and Program Coordinator, with additional tasks such as performing jobsite safety audits, conducting root cause investigations, and coordinating safety training for management and field personnel.
