What duties do our Helpdesk employees do at our IES Communications' Atlanta Branch?

They are tasked with setting up and maintaining basic network operations, assembling network hardware, and providing comprehensive support across various tasks to bolster the IT team's efforts. Our team is responsible for configuring devices for IES employees, offering both first and second level telephone support, and resolving technical issues efficiently. They expertly install, test, and manage necessary software and hardware, including an array of equipment from Dell and Cisco servers to Lenovo laptops and HP printers. By actively listening to client problems, they gather essential information to troubleshoot effectively. Beyond these duties, they focus on enhancing support processes, responding promptly to user inquiries about network access, adhering to strict privacy policies, conducting regular database maintenance, and keeping accurate inventory records. Monitoring system backups and ensuring the functionality of our company’s phone systems and computers are also within their purview. Their commitment extends to occasional travel for supporting remote sites and providing after-hours remote support when needed, embodying our dedication to operational excellence and responsive service at IES Atlanta.
