What will you do as a System Administrator at our IES Communications' San Diego Branch?
As employees of our branch in San Diego, our Junior System Administrators are responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, networks, and related hardware and software. They assist IT Technicians in preparing devices for end users and provide first and second level telephone support and problem resolution. They identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems, perform diagnostics of systems issues, and provide support to the IT team. Additionally, they offer remote IT support using remote control software and support various hardware such as Dell and Cisco servers, Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, Canon printers, and Cisco network equipment. They also provide users with network, PC, and software technical support, maintain server and endpoint protection, backups, updates, and other maintenance, and participate in IT-related projects when necessary. Furthermore, they assist with the administration and maintenance of IP-based telephony systems and perform other assigned responsibilities. Similarly, our System Administrators ensure that company standards, policies, and procedures are followed. They install, configure, and maintain computers, networks, and related hardware and software, and assist Helpdesk Administrators in preparing devices for end users. They provide second and third level telephone support and problem resolution, identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems, and perform diagnostics of network issues. They also provide support to the IT team, offer remote IT support using remote control software, and support various hardware such as Lenovo servers, Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, HP printers, and various network equipment. They provide users with network, PC, and software technical support, respond to user needs and questions regarding network resource access, and perform network troubleshooting. They configure network devices for new deployments and from backup configuration files as directed by senior staff. Additionally, they assist with the administration and maintenance of IP-based telephony systems and assist the IT team in server maintenance. They also perform other assigned responsibilities while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures.
