OUR EXECUTIVES

Mr. Simmes started his career in telecommunications in 1992 in Tempe, Arizona. He joined the industry as a field technician in 1993. Simmes worked in various positions, including Project Manager and Branch Manager. In 1999 Simmes joined IES, and in 2005 Simmes assumed the role of Vice President of Operations which he held until 2016 when he became the President of IES Communications.

Mr. Greer started his career in telecommunications in 1987 as a Field Service Technician and worked his way to up Project Manager.  In 1993, he took his first sales position with a startup and in two years became the Regional Manager. Greer started at IES in 2011 as a Sales Manager, where he was responsible for the development of key regional and national accounts, and the training of the communications sales team.  In 2012, Greer was promoted to the California Branch Manager and promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2016. He holds numerous industry certifications including a BICSI RCDD certification.

Mr. Romo has been in the communications industry since 1985 and joined IES in 2009 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has held several roles within the communications industry with both manufacturing and distribution companies including Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Divisional Manager, and Regional Vice President. In these roles, Romo has supported not only national but also international client and vendor relationships.

Mr. Allen has been in the cabling/communications industry for over 20 years, joining IES in 2011.  He served in the U.S. Navy and then in the commercial electrical field as an Electrician, Technician, Lead and Project Manager.  While at IES, Allen has worked as an estimator/design engineer for all types of cabling projects including data centers, call centers, class A office space and manufacturing/industrial environments before rising through the ranks to Vice President of Pre-Construction Services.  Allen achieved his BICSI RCDD certification in 2009 and his OSP specialization in 2016.

Mr. Emma has been in accounting since 1989 and has held a variety of senior financial management positions in the construction industry since 1994.  Prior to that, he was in the aerospace and paper/packaging industries. He joined IES Communications in 2016 as Vice President of Finance with responsibility for all accounting, finance and planning functions.

Tom Emma, CPA

Vice President of Finance 

Mrs. Landis joined IES (then FCG) in 1998 as an HR Training Specialist and has held several positions within HR since that time.  In 2008, she was transferred as an HR Manager to the IES corporate office where she spent several years not only supporting IES Communications, but also employees in the IES Commercial and IES Residential divisions.  In 2017, she was promoted to her current role as Director of Human Resources for IES Communications.  She attended school at Northern Arizona University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management.  Prior to her time at IES, she worked in HR Recruitment in the healthcare industry.

Katy Landis

Director of Human Resources

Mr. Larouere has been in the Information Technology field for 29+ years. He worked as an IT administrator and manager in the aerospace and the medical industry before joining IES in 1999. He graduated from Purdue University with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1990 and earned his MBA degree from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2003. Mr. Larouere and his team are responsible for all internal IT needs of IES Communications, LLC.

Mrs. Olmstead joined the communications industry and IES in 2012.  Starting as the Career Development Specialist and then the Employment Development Manager, she was promoted in 2016 to oversee the quality and training programs for IES Communications as the Director of Quality and Development. Olmstead has specialized in Human Resources, Process Management and Employee Development since 1997.

Mr. Snell has been with IES since 1996 and has over 11 years of residential safety experience with IES Residential, Inc.  In 2008, he took the position of Safety Manager at IES Commercial, Inc. and was promoted shortly afterwards to Southwest Regional Safety Manager, supporting the Electrical and Communications divisions of IES.  In 2010, Snell assumed the role of Division Safety Manager supporting the Communications Division and the West Division for IES Commercial, Inc.  Snell became the Director of Safety for IES Communications in 2015.
